OUR MISSION:
TO EDUCATE, EMPOWER & SUPPORT ALL COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY BREAST CANCER.
Pink Lemonade Project, formed in 2010 by Drs. Allen and Cassie Gabriel. Our mission is to educate, empower and support all communities affected by breast cancer in Oregon and SW Washington. Our programs and services offer emotional, educational, financial, and psychological support and for patients, families, and caregivers.
Historically, Pink Lemonade provided Revive Retreats and Pink Peer Mentorship program to provide support and create community for those after treatment in the Vancouver-Portland Metropolitan area. Then, we began to provide programs while a patient was in active treatment – Support Groups, Pink Practicalities, Jill’s Book Bank, Holiday Glow and Virtually Pink Education.
Since the closure of the Susan G. Komen Oregon & SW Washington affiliate in March 2021, we continue to operate two of their locally grown programs: the Metastatic Breast Cancer Dinner Series and the Treatment Access Program (Toni Mountain Fund). We also are piloting a new screening program this year.
Today, we maintain a large portfolio of programs and events for patients, families, and caregivers. These programs are available to people in all 36 counties of Oregon and six in SW Washington. Our commitment is to provide a full circle of support for anyone affected by breast cancer and with the support of healthcare organizations across the region.
