What current patients and survivors can do to incorporate exercise, and other lifestyle factors to improve their function during cancer treatment and reduce the risk of cancer recurrence

Dr. Cha will review what current patients and survivors can do to incorporate exercise and other lifestyle factors to improve their function during cancer treatment and reduce the risk of cancer recurrence.  She’ll review the current recommendations for exercise in oncology from the American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). Dr. Cha will review the latest research and include practical tips on making meaningful lifestyle changes. Dr. Cha’s goal is to empower women to incorporate one of the most powerful interventions in their personal health.

Dr. Christine Cha is an accomplished and dedicated cancer physician leader with over 25 years of clinical and leadership experience in radiation oncology, specializing in breast and gynecological cancers. As the former Program Director of the RENEW initiative at Providence Cancer Center, Dr. Cha pioneered multidisciplinary programs integrating diet and exercise interventions to enhance recovery and reduce cancer recurrence among breast cancer survivors. A seasoned public speaker and advocate for holistic cancer care, Dr. Cha brings her expertise and insights into the emerging field of exercise oncology.
